The Brake Lathe Silencer – Part #00070 is designed to reduce noise and vibration during brake rotor and drum machining. By adding stabilizing mass to the workpiece, Part #00070 effectively dampens harmonic vibrations that cause chatter and high-pitched cutting noise. This results in smoother cuts, improved surface finish, and more consistent machining results. In addition to enhancing operator comfort by lowering noise levels, the #00070 silencer helps extend cutting tool and lathe component life by minimizing excessive vibration during operation.  Will work with most all modern brake lathes - bench or on-the-car lathes.
